Last updated October 3, 2026

Guesswork has no accounts, no ads and no sign-up. It does not ask for or collect personal information.

The short version: your game stays on your phone. We only count anonymous visits to the site.

What stays on your device

To let you resume a game after a refresh, the game saves its current state in your browser's local storage: the player names you typed, scores, the category, and the current round. Your sound setting is saved the same way. This information never leaves your device. You can erase it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Anonymous analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which parts of the game get used. It records page views and a few simple events, such as a game starting or finishing, which category was picked, and when someone taps Share. It also sees rough information your browser sends, like country, device type and browser.

Hosting

The game is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and request time, for security and operation.
